During my first week at the SLEM master course I came up with a no waste pattern for a sneaker. The design eliminates unnecessary cutting waste, causing a small buzz in the footwear world. From sneaker-blogs to a fashion collaboration with the very talented Jivika Biervliet, the shoes received much exposure. For my graduation at SLEM I explored all the traditional ways of shoe making on my no-waste sneaker. This resulted in an actual wearable prototype. In my spare time I look into the possibilities of bringing my shoe into production in Europe. Expect to see more of this project in the future!
